Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to own conceptual, logical and physical data modelling across enterprise data warehouse, Lakehouse and analytics platforms. The candidate will translate business concepts into scalable, governed and implementation-ready data models.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models.
• Define subject areas, entities, attributes, relationships, business keys and data definitions.
• Design physical models for Silver/Conformed and Gold/Curated layers.
• Develop dimensional models including Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Apply Kimball, Data Vault and Canonical Modelling approaches.
• Define business keys, surrogate keys, normalization, referential integrity and SCD strategies.
• Develop and maintain Source-to-Target Mappings (STTM) and transformation rules.
• Design master and reference data models, hierarchies and code sets.
• Align models with MDM and golden-record requirements.
• Design semantic models, measures, hierarchies and KPI structures for Power BI.
• Publish and maintain models, relationships and metadata in Microsoft Purview.
• Participate in model governance, versioning, change control and impact analysis.
• Support data classification, sensitivity and PII tagging.
• Work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, DQ Engineers and Data Stewards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on Data Modelling experience.
• Expert knowledge of conceptual, logical and physical modelling.
• Strong experience in:
  • Kimball
  • Dimensional Modelling
  • Data Vault
  • Canonical Modelling
  • Normalization
  • SCD
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Erwin / ER Studio / SqlDBM or equivalent.
• Understanding of Spark/Delta, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Synapse.
• Experience with MDM/reference data modelling.
• Semantic layer and Power BI modelling experience.
• Microsoft Purview exposure.
• Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK2 and UAE data regulations is preferred.
