Business Analyst -Data & Analytics

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst – Data & Analytics to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. The role will translate business objectives, operational requirements and reporting needs into clear, traceable requirements and ensure delivered capabilities meet agreed business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder workshops, interviews and discovery sessions.
• Gather and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
• Define business rules, KPI definitions, calculation logic and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain business glossary terms and Critical Data Elements.
• Analyse current-state and target-state business/data processes.
• Identify gaps, pain points and improvement opportunities.
• Support source-system analysis and Source-to-Target Mapping.
• Maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix linking requirements to models, DQ rules, test cases and deliverables.
• Plan and coordinate UAT.
• Prepare UAT scenarios and coordinate defect triage and business sign-off.
• Support analytics and AI use-case discovery and prioritization.
• Develop business cases and value-tracking metrics.
• Support change, training and user-adoption activities.

Required Skills

• 7+ years as a Business Analyst in Data, Analytics, Data Governance or Digital Transformation.
• Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills.
• Experience with:

• Strong understanding of:

  • MDM

• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Exposure to Microsoft Purview, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK2.
• UAE PDPL / Dubai Data Law knowledge is preferred.
