Manager – Operations

The Manager – Operations will be responsible for managing and coordinating all production and operations activities between the corporate office and respective plants. The role involves extensive collaboration with plant teams to ensure efficient production planning, execution, and adherence to demand requirements. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge and experience in the PVC, UPVC, and CPVC industries, particularly in extrusion or injection molding processes, and will play a key role in driving operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact between the head office and plant teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination of production and operations activities.
• Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans that align with demand forecasts, ensuring timely and cost-effective manufacturing.
• Process Knowledge: Utilize strong expertise in extrusion or injection molding processes, and compounding mixing of PVC, UPVC, and CPVC materials to optimize production efficiency.
• Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret production data trends, generating insightful reports to drive informed decision-making.
• Demand Coordination: Work closely with the Demand Planning team to align production schedules with demand forecasts, ensuring production targets are met.
• Operational Excellence: Lead and support Opex and Kaizen initiatives at the plant level, driving continuous improvement in production processes.
• New Deployments: Provide support for the deployment and installation of new plants or machinery, ensuring successful integration into existing operations.

Qualifications:

• B.tech / CIPET – PGD – PPT
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the PVC and fittings industry, with a strong background in extrusion or injection molding processes.
• In-depth knowledge of compounding mixing processes for PVC, UPVC, and CPVC materials.
• Proven experience in production planning, data analysis, and trend interpretation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in operational excellence initiatives (Opex, Kaizen) is highly desirable.
• Ability to support new plant or machinery deployments and installations.
