Engineer/Sr engineer- Maintenance Electrical & Electronics (Drives, PLC, Automation)

Job Overview

This role is part of the Engineering function, responsible for handling electrical and automation systems across the plant, including VFD drives, PLCs, and control systems. The position focuses on ensuring smooth plant operations through effective maintenance, quick troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation processes. The role requires a strong hands-on approach on the shop floor to minimize downtime and support production efficiency. The position is based at Sikandrabad (UP) and Chennai (TN), with compensation aligned to experience and location.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle VFD drives (programming & troubleshooting) and PLC systems
• Maintain HMI, control panels, PCC, MCC, APFC panels
• Manage motors, sensors, instrumentation & process control systems
• Execute preventive, predictive & breakdown maintenance
• Ensure quick fault diagnosis to reduce downtime
• Manage power distribution, load balancing & energy optimization
• Support automation improvements, PLC/VFD tuning & new installations
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs & internal teams
• Handle spare planning and shutdown activities
• Supervise electricians/technicians and maintain documentation

Candidate Profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation
• 5 years experience in plant maintenance & automation
• Strong in VFD drives, PLC, HMI & electrical systems
• Experience in industries like plastics, extrusion, textiles, laminates, etc.
• Good in troubleshooting, root cause analysis & breakdown handling
• Practical, shop-floor oriented with team handling ability
• Able to work under production pressure
