Production Incharge-Paper Tube

This role is responsible for managing end-to-end production operations of the paper tube manufacturing unit, ensuring smooth execution of daily production plans, quality compliance, and efficient utilization of manpower and machinery. The position involves close coordination with PPC, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve production targets while controlling costs and minimizing wastage. The role requires strong hands-on experience in paper tube manufacturing and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily production activities as per schedule and customer requirements
• Supervise paper tube manufacturing processes (winding, cutting, finishing)
• Ensure proper use of raw materials like kraft paper, adhesives, etc.
• Maintain product quality (strength, dimensions, bonding, finishing)
• Monitor glue preparation, drying process, and bonding strength
• Control wastage and manage scrap effectively
• Implement quality checks and drive corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
• Manage manpower allocation, training, and productivity
• Coordinate with maintenance team for machine uptime
• Ensure safety compliance and proper use of PPE
• Monitor production costs and drive efficiency improvements
• Maintain production reports (daily/weekly/monthly) and documentation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process optimization)

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: High School / Intermediate / Graduate
• Experience: 5-8 years in paper tube manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of paper tube machines, materials, and processes
• Hands-on experience in machine handling and process control
• Good understanding of production, quality, and cost control
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience in team handling and shop-floor management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
