We are looking for a seasoned Procurement & Supply Chain professional to lead sourcing, procurement planning, inventory management, vendor development, and logistics functions for our solar module manufacturing operations. The role requires strong expertise in procurement of solar module raw materials, supply chain planning, cost optimization, and supplier relationship management to ensure uninterrupted production and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for solar module manufacturing raw materials and consumables.
- Manage procurement of Solar Cells, Glass, EVA/POE, Backsheets, Aluminum Frames, Junction Boxes, Ribbon, Busbars, Sealants, and other critical BOM items.
- Lead demand planning, material planning, and inventory management to support production schedules.
- Drive strategic sourcing, vendor identification, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure timely availability of materials while optimizing inventory levels and working capital.
- Manage domestic and international procurement, imports, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost competitiveness.
- Identify alternate sourcing opportunities and develop localization strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Drive procurement cost reduction, process improvements, and supply chain efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials Management preferred.
- 12-18 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Solar Module Manufacturing is mandatory.
- Strong exposure to procurement of solar module raw materials and supply chain planning.
- Experience in handling domestic and international suppliers, imports, and logistics.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
