We are seeking an accomplished Sales Head to lead the Sales and Marketing operations for a leading polymer-based plumbing, agricultural, and bath product organization. The portfolio includes O-PVC, PVC, CPVC, UPVC, SWR pipes, column pipes, underground drainage pipes, HDPE sprinkler systems and fittings, water tanks, PTMT taps, and faucets. The role entails overseeing overall sales and marketing strategy, driving revenue growth across PAN India markets. With 20+ years of experience in the PVC pipes and fittings industry, the ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in leading large teams, strategizing business growth, expanding distribution networks, and ensuring profitability while maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships. The person should have experience of handling sales P&L of 1200-1500 crÂ
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Expertise and Revenue Growth
- Achieve consistent growth across Agriculture Pipes, SWR Pipes & Fittings, ASTM, CPVC, UPVC, HDPE, and O-PVC pipes and fittings, as well as ball valves and PTMT-based taps and faucets.
- Expand distribution networks and launch new products to penetrate emerging and non-traditional markets.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, forecast sales, and develop strategies for new product categories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts to drive satisfaction, retention, and long-term growth.
2. Sales Leadership and Strategy
- Drive the Sales & Marketing department, aligning closely with top management to meet strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute annual sales budgets and marketing plans.
- Strategize business directions to ensure profitability while achieving top-line and bottom-line targets.
- Ensure outstanding dues are recovered and manage payment collections effectively.
3. Collaborative Team Management
- Lead a large team of 350+ professionals, including regional/state/zone heads, sales coordinators, Marcom, MIS, and Technical Services teams.
- Collaborate with General Managers and senior leaders to enhance sales performance, ensuring a harmonious, conflict-free environment.
- Empower regional sales teams to develop marketing communication strategies and action plans that meet revenue and margin goals.
4. Customer Development and Retention
- Monitor customer preferences, collect sales data, and obtain feedback on product quality and services.
- Design and execute customer retention strategies, address attrition risks, and ensure consistent engagement with clients.
- Visit dealers to build strong relationships, stimulate interest in new products, and disseminate updated pricing and discount rates.
5. Sales Operations and Production Coordination
- Finalize monthly production targets in coordination with production and planning teams to align with sales goals.
- Liaise with factories to oversee product availability and manage inventory based on market demand.
- Define pricing strategies, trade schemes, and promotional activities to drive sales and revenue growth.
6. Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor sales performance, distributor/dealer growth, and team productivity to achieve set objectives.
- Analyze sales pipelines, identify gaps, and plan strategic interventions to optimize outcomes.
- Refine sales strategies using actionable insights and market intelligence.
7. Stakeholder Engagement and Promotions
- Organize impactful promotional campaigns and events targeting dealers, sub-dealers, and builders.
- Oversee the planning and execution of domestic and international conferences to engage stakeholders and influencers.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across marketing communications.
8. Operational Excellence
- Formulate and implement long-term business plans to support organizational objectives and market leadership.
- Plan strategic interventions to address challenges and drive sustainable growth.
- Maintain seamless coordination between production, sales, and marketing teams for operational efficiency.
