Enterprise Data Governance & Data Quality Lead (Informatica IDMC | Microsoft Azure)

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Governance & Data Quality Lead to drive the implementation of a modern enterprise Data Governance and Data Quality platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and the Microsoft Azure Data Platform, enabling organizations to establish trusted, governed, and high-quality enterprise data assets.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing enterprise-wide data governance architecture, implementing metadata management, data cataloging, business glossary, data quality frameworks, and delivering data governance capabilities across multiple business domains.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Governance
  • Lead the implementation of enterprise-wide Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives using Informatica IDMC.
  • Design and configure Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC), Business Glossary, Metadata Management, Data Marketplace, and Data Lineage.
  • Define enterprise metadata standards, governance policies, stewardship models, and ownership frameworks.
  • Enable onboarding of business domains, sub-domains, critical data elements, and enterprise data assets.
  • Configure metadata scanners for automated discovery and cataloging across enterprise systems.
Data Quality
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Data Quality frameworks and scorecards.
  • Develop reusable Data Quality rules, profiling templates, validation logic, and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Perform data profiling, root cause analysis, and data quality assessments across multiple source systems.
  • Design exception management, logging, alerting, and continuous monitoring processes.
  • Validate Data Quality rule execution and recommend remediation strategies.
Data Architecture & Engineering
  • Design end-to-end logical and physical architecture for Data Governance and Data Quality solutions.
  • Build and optimize Data Governance/Data Quality data marts to measure governance KPIs and quality metrics.
  • Analyze enterprise data flows, transformations, lineage, and integration patterns.
  • Integrate governance and quality solutions with enterprise applications, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
  • Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards.
Microsoft Azure Platform
  • Design and implement Data Governance solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Integrate Informatica IDMC with:
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    • Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS)
    • Azure Synapse Analytics
    • Microsoft Fabric (preferred)
    • Azure SQL Database
    • Azure Key Vault
    • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
  • Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting governance and data quality processes.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards using Power BI.
  • Create executive dashboards and operational reports for:
    • Data Quality Score
    • Completeness
    • Accuracy
    • Consistency
    • Timeliness
    • Governance Compliance
    • Data Stewardship KPIs
  • Deliver actionable insights to business and technology stakeholders.
Delivery & Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Business, Analytics, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Lead technical workshops, solution design sessions, and implementation activities.
  • Conduct technical training and knowledge transfer for platform administrators and support teams.
  • Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and Hypercare.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous platform improvements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Data Architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC.
  • Experience implementing enterprise Data Governance and Data Quality platforms on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, metadata management, data cataloging, and governance best practices.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, operational systems, data warehouses, and enterprise data lakes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Utilities, or other large enterprise environments will be an advantage.
