The Qlik Development Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level analytics and reporting solutions using the Qlik platform. This role bridges business intelligence strategy with hands-on technical delivery, guiding a team of developers while ensuring data solutions are scalable, performant, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Qlik development standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Drive migration strategy (QlikView to Qlik Sense; on-prem to cloud).
- Assess and optimize existing data models, reload scripts, and environments.
- Design and support Qlik architecture (Dev/Test/Prod) with DevOps teams.
- Lead hands-on Qlik development: Data modeling, scripting, set analysis, and expressions
- Dashboard and visualization design across business domains
- Ensure alignment with business requirements and stakeholders.
- Design and build Qlik integrations with upstream and downstream data sources.
- Integrate Qlik with cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure).
- Ensure secure, scalable, and cloud-compatible deployments.
- Implement section access, row-level security, and data governance controls.
- Enable CI/CD pipelines and automated Qlik app deployments.
- Support test automation and release processes.
- Promote version control (Git) and cloud-native practices.
- Collaborate with QA for regression, performance, and release readiness.
- Drive defect resolution and production stability.
- Lead and work with onshore/offshore teams.
- Collaborate with business, QA, DevOps, and vendors/partners.
- Provide technical governance and code reviews.
Required Skills
- 8+ years BI/analytics; 5+ years Qlik Sense and QlikView development
Strong in:
- Data modeling, set analysis, scripting, and expressions
- Dashboard design and associative engine optimization
- Experience with Qlik Cloud (SaaS) and hybrid deployments
- Strong ETL/ELT, SQL, and data pipeline integration skills
- Experience with Qlik NPrinting, section access, and RLS security models
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure)
- Experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), and Agile delivery models
