AGM – Quality (PVC / HDPE Pipes & Polymer Components)

Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Head – Quality to drive end-to-end plant quality, customer quality, and compliance systems. The role requires strong expertise in polymer manufacturing (extrusion/injection molding) along with automotive-grade quality systems, with a sharp focus on customer satisfaction, zero-defect culture, and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive strong quality systems across Incoming, In-process, Final & Pre-dispatch stages
  • Implement and monitor QAP, inspection, testing, validation & calibration processes
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, BIS, ASTM and customer-specific standards
  • Handle complete customer quality including complaints, audits and satisfaction improvement
  • Lead customer complaint resolution using 8D, RCA, CAPA and drive closure effectiveness
  • Act as SPOC for key customers on all quality-related matters
  • Drive zero-defect culture, field failure reduction and customer satisfaction initiatives
  • Conduct internal audits, process audits, vendor audits and support third-party inspections
  • Implement SPC, 7QC tools, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Improve process capability, reduce rejection and control cost of poor quality (COPQ)
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, control plans, work instructions and quality documentation
  • Work closely with production on extrusion and injection molding processes
  • Handle process troubleshooting and ensure consistent product quality
  • Support new mold/die trials and production stabilization (limited NPD involvement)
  • Ensure raw material quality validation and strengthen incoming quality systems
  • Drive supplier quality improvement and vendor performance monitoring
  • Handle customer and certification audits effectively
  • Prepare monthly quality MIS, dashboards and analysis reports
  • Ensure effective use of SAP for quality data tracking and reporting
  • Build and lead a strong quality team with clear KPIs and performance focus
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Polymer / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
  • 15–20+ years of experience in Quality with plant leadership exposure
  • Strong background in PVC / HDPE pipes / plastic extrusion or injection molding
  • Exposure to automotive quality systems (IATF 16949 preferred)
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • RCA, CAPA, 8D, SPC, 7QC tools
    • Customer complaint handling & audits
  • Strong knowledge of BIS, ASTM, ISO standards
  • Experience working with SAP
