Job Purpose
To train learners in optics, photonics, lasers, optical alignment, sensors and optical metrology relevant to semiconductor equipment and precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach geometric and physical optics.
- Explain lenses, mirrors, beam splitters and optical paths.
- Conduct laser and optical alignment exercises.
- Train learners on optical power measurement and photodiodes.
- Introduce fibre optics and optical sensing.
- Explain optical metrology and lithography optics.
- Train learners on vibration, alignment and cleanliness considerations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–12 years of experience in optics, photonics, optical engineering or optical metrology.
- Strong knowledge of optics, photonics, laser fundamentals and optical measurement.
- Hands-on experience in optical alignment and laboratory practices.
- Strong understanding of precision measurement and laboratory safety.
Preferred Background
- Precision optics, photonics, semiconductor equipment, metrology, aerospace or research laboratories.
