Data Model consultant- Remote

Looking for Data Model consultant it a full time remote opportunity. Please review the JD

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and evolve core (Silver Layer) data models within an existing Anchor Modeling framework
• Translate business requirements into well-structured, normalized data models taking into consideration the data source structure.
• Ensure consistency, integrity, and reusability of core data entities across domains
• Apply best practices for historization, change tracking, and auditability
• Contribute to modeling standards, naming conventions, and governance
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient data transformations in Snowflake
• Support data quality validation and reconciliation processes
• Document models, relationships, and business logic for wider team understanding

Must have:

• Strong experience in data modeling for data warehouses built on Snowflake, with a focus on:
• Highly normalized models (3NF / 6NF / core layer modeling)
• Designing reusable and scalable core data structures

Solid understanding of:

• Data integration across multiple source systems
• Change tracking and historization concepts
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and advanced SQL
• Experience working in structured modeling environments or frameworks (not necessarily building them)
• Ability to translate business concepts into clean, maintainable data models
• Strong collaboration skills across data engineering and analytics teams
• Ability to work in an agile setup with Jira.

Nice to Have:

• Conceptual understanding of Anchor Modeling (anchors, attributes, ties, historization)
• Experience with Data Vault or other temporally-aware modeling approaches
• Familiarity with medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
• Exposure to data governance, lineage, and metadata practices
