This individual contributor role requires a deep understanding of data governance practices, with a strong emphasis on Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and Axon. The ideal candidate should also have substantial experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) as a secondary skill, along with expertise in business glossary management, Key Data Elements (KDEs), data quality, data profiling, data classification, and data lineage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of data governance strategies and frameworks.
- Manage and optimize data governance tools, particularly focusing on EDC and Axon.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance processes align with business objectives.
- Oversee the data quality processes and initiatives using IDQ to maintain high standards of data integrity.
- Develop and manage business glossaries, Key Data Elements (KDEs), and data profiling information.
- Ensure accurate data classification and data lineage tracking.
- Onboard new resources into EDC, including the creation of custom resources and custom lineages as per requirements provided by other team members.
- Use EDC Advanced Scanners to onboard resources effectively.
- Update the data dictionary based on changes from the source team.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data governance practices and tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Good experience in Data Governance, with a focus on EDC and Axon.
- Proficiency in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
- Expertise in business glossary management, Key Data Elements (KDEs), data quality, data profiling, data classification, and data lineage.
- Proven experience in onboarding and managing resources in EDC, including creating custom resources and lineages.
- Deep understanding of data governance principles, data management, and data lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other data governance and data quality tools.
- Previous experience in a tech lead or senior IC role.
- Advanced certifications in data governance or related disciplines.
