Manager/ Sr. Manager- Purchase(raw materials)

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager to manage procurement activities for PVC manufacturing business. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of PVC raw materials, supplier management, strategic sourcing, cost optimization and vendor development. The role requires close coordination with Production planning, Stores, QC, and Finance to ensure uninterrupted availability of materials at the optimum cost.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement of PVC raw materials, chemicals, additives, packaging materials, and production consumables.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production.
• Plan purchases based on production schedules and inventory levels in coordination with Planning and Stores.
• Develop, evaluate, and manage vendors to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely deliveries.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and annual supply contracts.
• Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing, alternate vendor development, and market analysis.
• Monitor market trends of PVC resin, polymers, chemicals, and other raw materials.
• Process Purchase Orders (POs), track deliveries, and resolve supply-related issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, and Finance for smooth procurement operations.
• Ensure supplier quality compliance, material approvals, and timely invoice verification.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor database, and purchase MIS reports.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Work efficiently on ERP systems and MS Excel for procurement planning and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of PVC raw materials, chemicals, additives, and packaging materials.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Polymer/Chemical/Commerce/Supply Chain.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Materials Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PVC raw materials, chemicals, additives, and packaging materials.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor development, and cost analysis skills.
• Good understanding of ERP system and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
