Position Overview:

As a Production Planning and Control Manager/Asst Manager , you will oversee material planning, production planning, and inventory control to ensure efficient and timely production operations. You will be responsible for developing production schedules, managing resources, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that production targets are met within budgeted parameters. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to meet customer demands and improve overall production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material and Production Planning: Develop and manage production plans and schedules, arranging resources to ensure on-time achievement of production targets. Plan raw materials in advance and coordinate with the procurement team.
  • Order Management: Accept customer orders in the system, prioritize tasks for timely dispatches, and update delivery schedules to sales and customers.
  • Daily and Weekly Distribution: Conduct daily and weekly production plans according to machine capacity, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and delivery dates.
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Represent the plant in monthly S&OP meetings with sales and marketing teams to derive monthly production requirements and calculate operation plans.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of production planners and coordinators, overseeing daily operations, scheduling, and resource allocation. Lead the development and execution of production plans, resulting in improved efficiency and cost reductions.
  • Inventory Control: Analyze inventory and raw materials, maintain dispatches as per customer delivery dates, and ensure timely order placement for the right products at the right time.
  • ERP System Utilization: Utilize ERP systems to track production progress, manage order fulfillment, and generate performance reports for senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct root cause analysis of production delays, implement corrective actions, and monitor production lines to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development of production budgets, implement cost control measures, and contribute to achieving financial targets while reducing waste.
  • Client Coordination: Maintain strong relationships with top domestic and international brands

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in production planning, material planning, and inventory control.
  • Strong proficiency in developing production schedules and managing resources.
  • Expertise in using ERP systems for production management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve significant improvements in production efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, particularly with sales and customer service teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the electronics or wearables industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
