Enterprise Data Architect

This is an onsite role based in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in gathering business requirements and translating them into robust, enterprise-wide data architecture solutions covering Data Governance, Security (Access Management), Data Lineage, and Compliance. The role demands hands-on expertise in designing and developing data products, with the ability to architect across multiple platforms (cloud, on-premises, and hybrid). Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for effective collaboration with both business and technical teams.

The incumbent must have:

  • Proven experience in gathering business requirements and architecting end-to-end data solutions.
  • Hands-on solutioning covering Data Governance, Security (Access Management), Data Lineage & Compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing/developing Data Products.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate architecture decisions to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to architect across multiple platforms (cloud/on-premises/hybrid).

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive, scalable data architecture solutions.
  • Architect data solutions aligned with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and data management practices (DAMA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional EA workgroups to ensure alignment with business, application, and technology architectures.
  • Develop logical and conceptual data models and extend them for enterprise-wide use.
  • Define and implement data governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing enterprise data.
  • Provide strategies for transactional and analytical systems to effectively share and consume data.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, reference models, and best practices, preferably within the health insurance industry.
  • Establish and promote Data Quality and Master Data Management (MDM) best practices.
  • Develop and maintain future-state architectures and transition roadmaps.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF, Zachman) and data frameworks (DAMA).
  • Experience with big data technologies or large-scale data warehousing initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of IT governance frameworks, methodologies, and modeling techniques.
  • Expertise in data technologies, integration patterns, and technical operations.
  • Ability to design secure, compliant, and scalable solutions across platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
