Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and target-driven Area Sales Manager – Agri Specialist for a leading Pipes & Fittings manufacturing company. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth in the agriculture segment through dealer network expansion, farmer engagement, distributor management, and promotion of irrigation and agri-related products in the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in agricultural sales, irrigation products, agri-inputs, or rural market development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand the agri business in the assigned territory.
- Appoint and manage dealers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Promote agricultural and irrigation products among farmers and agri influencers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct field visits and market surveys to identify new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with farmers, contractors, agri dealers, and influencers.
- Organize farmer meets, product demonstrations, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with government departments, irrigation consultants, and rural institutions where required.
- Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy outstanding levels.
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Prepare sales reports, market feedback, and territory performance analysis.
- Ensure proper implementation of sales and branding strategies in rural markets.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of agricultural products and irrigation solutions.
- Excellent dealer/distributor management skills.
- Strong rural market penetration and relationship-building ability.
- Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to conduct product demonstrations and farmer engagement activities.
- Sales target achievement and territory management capability.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, ERP/SAP preferred.
