Area Sales Manager(ASM)- Plumbing

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Specialist for a leading Pipes & Fittings manufacturing company. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing the plumbing channel network, managing dealer/distributor relationships, and increasing market penetration in the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to the plumbing segment including CPVC, UPVC, SWR, HDPE pipes, fittings, valves, faucets, sanitary or allied building material products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the plumbing business in the assigned territory.
  • Appoint and manage dealers, distributors, retailers, and plumbers.
  • Generate sales through plumbing contractors, builders, consultants, and project sales.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to identify new business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with plumbers, channel partners, architects, and contractors.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
  • Organize plumber meets, dealer engagement activities, and promotional campaigns.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and control outstanding dues.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams for timely dispatches.
  • Prepare daily sales reports, market feedback, and territory analysis.
  • Increase brand visibility and market share in the assigned region.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing products and applications.
  • Excellent channel sales and distributor management skills.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
  • Market development and business expansion capability.
  • Strong understanding of project sales and retail sales.
  • Ability to handle sales targets and pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/SAP, and reporting tools preferred.
