Job summary:
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the specified scope and quality standards. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams, and managing project risks and resources.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Planning and Execution :
– Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including defining project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
– Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring adherence to established plans.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
– Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
– Facilitate effective communication and collaboration through regular project meetings.
Risk Management :
– Identify potential project risks, issues, and conflicts, and implement appropriate resolutions and contingency plans.
Performance Monitoring :
– Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders on key milestones, deliverables, and risks.
Budget and Resource Management :
– Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring optimal utilization and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Development :
– Oversee the development and implementation of project management processes, methodologies, and best practices, including industry-standard DevOps and CI/CD principles.
Team Leadership :
– Foster a positive team environment, promoting effective communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience :
Project Management Expertise :
– Proven experience in IT project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
– Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Technical Proficiency :
– Hands-on experience with Temenos Transact products, TAFJ, JBoss, WebLogic, DS, IRIS-R18, T24 artifacts package and deployment, UXP.
– Understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.
Leadership and Communication :
– Excellent leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating and inspiring cross-functional teams.
– Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills :
– Strong analytical abilities to identify and address project risks and issues proactively.
– Sound decision-making skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks and resources effectively.
Project Management Tools :
– Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
– Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in the banking sector.
– Experience managing diverse IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, software implementations, and system integrations.
– Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, processes, and procedures, particularly in the banking industry.
– Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
– Business acumen and the ability to align IT projects with organizational goals and strategies.
– A continuous learning mindset and commitment to staying updated with emerging IT trends and technologies.
