AGM/Senior Manager – Procurement – Capex/Consumable

The role involves overseeing purchasing and cost estimating activities, focusing on CAPEX and consumable purchases, including machines like extruders and mixers (for continuous processes) and injection molding, auxiliaries, HT/LT purchases, and project purchases for both greenfield and brownfield projects. The candidate will ensure alignment with best practices, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive procurement innovation, with a strong emphasis on SAP and ISO-9000 systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures for CAPEX, consumables, machines, auxiliaries, HT/LT purchases, and project purchases (greenfield and brownfield).
• Manage supplier selection, evaluation, and performance through an effective vendor base.
• Oversee purchasing MIS as per budget processes and ensure adherence to purchasing policies and audit guidelines.
• Develop and innovate procurement processes using SAP, including forecasting and budgeting based on market trends.
• Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to meet plant requirements and ensure quality standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring they are trained and capable of achieving operational goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business initiatives and projects.
• Utilize SAP and other technological systems to generate reports for smooth operational activities.
• Contribute to new business initiatives and assess their impact on purchasing activities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO-9000 standards and maintain strong computer literacy, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SAP, particularly in procurement and ERP functions.
• Strong understanding of ISO-9000 systems.
• Basic knowledge of plastic processing is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
