| Profile summary:
Candidate will be part of the charging station department with the core responsibility of product development from concept till product deployment. Should be a team leader and able to lead and train his team to perform in stipulated time. The design knowledge of EV charging systems will be an added advantage.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Should understand product requirement/specifications, design the system accordingly and should be able to handle complete execution
- Should work with Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Industrial Designers and/or Software Engineers based on project requirements
- Should continually optimizing, developing, and improving product to meet product requirement
- Should be able to conduct root cause analysis & propose cost effective solutions using problem-solving technique
- Should be experienced in creating and handling documents related to processes like Bill of material, DFMEA, DVP, prototyping etc.
- Should take ownership for the design, test, and integration of product
Key requirements:
- Strong engineering background for mechanical systems, injection molding, plastic, Sheetmetal, casting, welding & tool development
- Knowledge of product design standards, testing standards, and fastener standards
- Well versed with GD&T, Tolerance stack-up analysis, DFx, and FMEA
- Hands-on experience on CAD/ CAE software using advanced CAD techniques
- Must follow standard design practices, GDT as per ISO standards
- Should have good communication skills to be able to interact with customers / vendors.
- Good knowledge on material & coating selection process
- Knowledge on component & product level testing
Ideal candidate:
- Min 10 to 12 years of work experience in R&D/mechanical product design & development
- Candidates from product-based manufacturing industries are preferred
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills
- Commitment & self-driven ownership of the product from drawing board to production
- Prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Should take initiatives with Proactive approach to resolve technical challenges
